Alumni Days

Alumni Days 2009 was a wonderful success with more than 60 alumni in attendance for class gatherings, the annual reunion liturgy and award dinner, and participation in a two-day symposium marking theYear for Priests held during Alumni Days at The Catholic University of America.

The symposuim entitled, Ministerial Priesthood: Faithfulness of Christ, Faithfulness of Priests, was sponsored by the School of Theology and Religious Studies (STRS) with underwriting from the US Province of the Society of St. Sulpice. Presentations were given by CUA faculty and other experts on a variety of topics including: theology and spirituality of priesthood, its biblical underpinnings, priests as evangelizers, and the contemporary priest model.

Sulpician Superior General, Father Ron Witherup, S.S. was among the theologians presenting at the symposium as well as former TC rector and Sulpician Superior General, Father Lawrence Terrien, S.S. '72, professor of theology at St. Mary's Seminary & Univeristy in Baltimore, and Washington Auxiliary Bishop Martin Holley '84, who participated in a panel discussion on priestly evangelization.
