Student Affairs

Community Life at the seminary is enhanced through the activities of the student government association and its committees. The student government is composed of five elected officers, individual class representatives and committee chairs. Student government committees include: Community Life, Prayer and Worship, and the Social Justice committees.

A representative from the seminary community is also a member of Catholic University’s School of Theology and Religious Studies Students’ Association, a student committee of the university that provides a forum for student representation and feedback to the School of Theology and Religious Studies. The committee sponsors an annual speaker’s series and other year-round activities that nurture the spiritual, social and intellectual lives of its members.

This year, elected officers of TC's student government association include: president, Tyler Smedley (3T) from Spokane; vice-president, Jeff Lewis (3T) from Spokane; secretary, Dustin Dought (1T) from Lafayette (LA); and treasurer, Gino Rossi (2T) from Richmond. Class representatives include: 1st Pre-theology, Nathaniel Hurd (Washington); 1st Theology, Andrew DeFusco (Baltimore); 2nd Theology, Colin Franklin (Jefferson City); 3rd Theology, Nick Reid (Jefferson City); and 4th Theology, Henry Maklakiewicz (Palm Beach).
