Theological College annually recognizes the end of the Fall semester with an evening comprised of prayer, feasting, and levity — concluding with comedic entertainment provided by students in their first year of formation at TC. The first week of Advent 2019 marked the last week of classes, with the celebration beginning fittingly with a Mass whose Gospel reading reminded us, with the sight of the blind restored by faith, of the coming of Christ, the “light in the darkness.” The rector’s homily further illumines this truth: “Christ seeks us out. He finds us and he offers the promise of a new kind of life animated by joy and hope, as he did with the two blind men. Advent is a celebration of the divine compassion revealed in Jesus.”  Father McBrearity invited all present not only to give thanks for “being found” but he offered the challenge to all to “become an extension of the divine compassion revealed in the Incarnation”—to “find” those who are weary, lost, in flight from fear, anxiety, or injustice…

Please join the TC community in taking up this challenge during the Christmas season and through out the new year!
