For the Sulpician Patronal Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Nov. 22, the Theological College community began their celebration with the rector’s blessing of the new chapel bells, followed by a beautiful liturgy and enjoyable dinner together. The set of bells, a class gift from the 2024 graduates, is accompanied by a plaque in Latin that translates, “This bell was donated by the Class of 2024, ‘so that the sound may be heard when entering and leaving the sanctuary in the presence of the Lord, and not die.’”  ( Exodus 28:35.)

The installation of this set of traditional brass wall bells is a fitting addition inaugurated on this special feast day of the Blessed Mother, who was herself a sanctuary of the Lord. May she accompany the seminarians in both public and private worship here in TC’s Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary!
