Bishop Thomas A. Daly of the Diocese of Spokane presided over ordinations to the transitional diaconate of Carlos Limongi, from the Archdiocese of New York, and Raymond Kalema, of the Diocese of Spokane. The first in their class of 12 TC seminarians to receive the Order of Deacon, these two shared their wonder and thankfulness with the TC class of 2018 and the entire community, as well as with many family and friends, some of whom traveled thousands of miles for this important milestone. Deacon Ray Kalema shared his feelings on this sublime occasion: “Making this step to the diaconate ordination has not only made me ponder how God works in mysterious ways, but it also attests to what Jesus said to his Apostles in Matthew 19:26: ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’ My heart leaps with great joy and gratitude to God as my lifelong prayers are answered today, by our Lord, whose call to serve I heard many years ago.”
Please join us in extending prayerful best wishes to all of our new transitional deacons over the next few months of ongoing ordinations around the country!
